AFP-Missouri
Missourians are capable of extraordinary things when the government gets out of their way.
Americans for Prosperity Missouri is a community of concerned citizens who advocate for liberty-minded policies in the Show-Me State. Join us as we fight to lower taxes, expand educational opportunities for students, stand up for free speech, and cut regulations that stifle small businesses and innovation.
Let’s make Missouri the home of liberty, innovation, and opportunity for all!
Take Action
It’s Time to Eliminate Missouri Income Tax
Missourians are struggling to put food on the table and our economy has been stagnant far too long. It’s time for tax relief for Missourians.
Ask your legislators to vote to eliminate the income tax in Missouri!
Support REINing in Regulation
Missourians are feeling the weight of out-of-control regulations, government overreach, and wasteful spending. Unelected bureaucrats can impose costly rules without approval from elected officials—driving up costs for businesses, taxpayers, and workers. No more backdoor rules that hurt Missourians without oversight.
Tell Lawmakers to Expand School Choice in Missouri
We all know nationwide the public education system is struggling. Missouri is no exception.
Missouri has been lagging behind in expanding education options for families, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status.
It’s time for that to change.
Join the Fight for Prosperity in Missouri!
Missouri ranks #30 in schools in the US, and taxation and regulations are hurting families and small businesses. American students are falling behind in reading and mathematics, and over 40% of Americans struggle to cover healthcare costs.
So what can you do about it?

Priorities
Lowering Taxes
Working families of Missouri see too much of their paychecks going to Jefferson City, rather than staying in their pockets to help their family. Missouri must lower the tax burden citizens, starting with ending the state income tax.
Educational Freedom
We believe in empowering parents in their children’s education. We advocate for policies that give families more freedom to choose the best education for their children regardless of how much money they make, or where they live.
Free Speech
Every American should have the power to speak, think, and act as they see fit, without hindrance from the government — as long as they’re not violating the rights of others. Yet today we too often see resistance toward a culture of free expression. We will fight any efforts to limit the First Amendment in Missouri.
Regulatory Reform
Unnecessary regulation stifles freedom and innovation. We support policies to reform regulations so that we keep bureaucrats in check and unleash freedom and opportunity for small business owners and all citizens in Missouri.
About Us
Americans for Prosperity-Missouri is dedicated to advancing policies that promote economic freedom and individual liberty throughout the Show-Me State. Our current initiatives focus on removing barriers to opportunity by advocating for lower taxes, reduced government spending, educational freedom and regulatory reform.
We are actively working to educate and mobilize citizens to engage in the legislative process, ensuring their voices are heard on key issues that impact their everyday lives. Our grassroots efforts aim to empower individuals to take an active role in shaping the policies that affect their communities.
